Woman Runs Retirement Home For Unwanted Senior Dogs
She makes sure every dog gets the love and attention they deserve in their twilight years. And when it comes to saying goodbye, the dogs are never alone. What an amazing woman.
Retirement homes are not only for people, at least not in a special home in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Nearly two-dozen dogs are spending their golden years at House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary, a retirement home for elderly dogs.
The dogs spend the rest of their days under the loving care of Sher Polvinale and her team of volunteers at her home. The senior dogs come to her from rescues or from folks who can’t take care of them anymore. And because of their age and medical conditions, the dogs have little chance of being adopted.
Sher cares for the dogs’ every need — from washing and feeding them, to medications and vet visits. And when it comes to saying goodbye, the dogs are never alone.
As you’ll see in the video below, Sher has her hands full, but every dog gets the love and attention they deserve in their twilight years.
