Sully is proof that animals are truly amazing! 😍

Sully served the former President during the last six months of his life. His bronze statue was unveiled in Long Island, New York last 2020 in honor of Veteran’s Day.

“Dogs are man’s best friend and, ultimately, Sully fulfilled that role for one of the most prominent people in the country and really worked to shine a light on the services that are available for everybody,” John Miller, president and CEO of America’s Vetdogs. The said non-profit was the first that trained Sully.

For six months, Sully provided Bush with loyal companionship and assistance with day-to-day tasks. Sully became famous in 2018 when his picture lying next to Bush’s flag-draped casket went viral.

After his service with the 41st President, Sully continues to work at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as a facility dog. In this position, the loving Lab comforts veterans and their families while they are at the medical center.

Even though Sully has a new responsibility, he has not forgotten his time with the Bush family. On Veteran’s Day, the dog checked in with Jenna Bush Hager and her daughters over a video call.

“Hello little doggy, I want to hug you,” Poppy says. Mila then asked the pup, “Do you remember Great Gampy?” The dog nodded his head yes in this video.
